Alright, I caved to the part of me that is still terribly fannish, despite the fact that I haven't done anything HP-fandom wise since Christmas, and I will be making SURPRISE, SHOCKING GUEST TERMINUS APPEARANCES definitely at the Snarry meetup, and also probably at the Slasher's meetup beforehand. For anyone who may be looking for me (omg I'm going somewhere that I won't actually know anyone, hello social anxiety issues), I've got short brown hair, red glasses, and will be out-of-place-edly dressed in business casual since I'll be coming straight from work.

It's a Lucius who really WORKS as a character, who isn't just this thin, one dimensional bad guy with no heart. This story is much to the contrary, really. While I don't think I'm going to crosspost everything, I am planning on putting some entries over here. Mainly just anything VERY important that happens to me, or mostly fannish squee. I'm interested in taking the opportunity of the Sorta-Great Fannish Migration to start separating my fannish self out from my real self. I'd like to not feel like I need to put everything behind a flock here, or a filter, like I often find myself doing on my LJ. I'm not concerned about ever being 'outed' as a fannish slasher type, but I do miss being able to talk freely about fannish things without having my RL friends on my journal start peppering me with questions about why Harry and Snape are having buttsex.

I'm still of two minds about it all, though, because while I know a lot of people who ARE able to have strictly fannish journals, I don't think I can ever do it! My life is about ME, not fandom, and at the end of the day, I'm not NEARLY prolific enough to do nothing BUT talk about fandom in my journal. One of the best thing about fandom for me has been getting to know the people behind the pen-names, so to speak, and it makes me sad to think that I might lose that aspect, if I choose to limit the amount of personal content I give here.

I don't know, I'm just brainstorming out loud, while I debate what entries to import over here, what to do with my fic, and why I haven't answered the 4853453 emails I need to attend to.

I think there needs to be a giant friending meme over here, since this seems like it is where most people have moved their hub of operations.

Someone get on that, stat.
